Rogue Valley Nonprofit Makes Aging-In-Place Easier

Wikimedia/Garry Knight

"Aging in place" is an attractive concept for many a senior citizen, far more attractive than selling the house and moving into "a home."

But the amenities that grace your home in your 40s are not as helpful when you're in your 70s or 80s. Rebuilding Together Rogue Valley works to keep people in their homes, by adding things that make live easier for seniors, like grab rails around beds and showers and toilets.

David Doi is the Executive Director of the outfit; he talks to us about the work and how it's funded.

RBTRV has money to spend in rural areas from several grants. Share with Jackson and Josephine County friends who don't have Internet: 541-261-2037.
