California Forward Works For Affordable Housing

The cost of owning a home tends to go in one direction: up. Jackson County's median home price is around $370,000.

In Los Angeles County? Double it, roughly. California continues to be challenged by home prices that make it nearly impossible for middle-class families to build equity.

The situation is a major focus of California Forward, which has a number of ideas to create more housing that is actually affordable. CEO Micah Weinberg lays out the vision for more affordable housing.
