And Then This: Smoke Is Bad For Your Skin, Too

It only makes sense that wildfire smoke could have some impacts on our skin. It certainly impacts our lungs, which are exposed to the smoky air, and our skin is far more exposed in the same conditions.

Sure enough, recently published research out of the University of California-San Francisco shows a rise in skin disease and general itching in times of wildfire smoke.

Lead researchers Maria Wei and Raj Fadadu visit with a summary of the findings.
