Sports Doctor Talks About Exercising After COVID

Not that anybody really could do such a thing, but medical science recommends NOT jumping out of bed after COVID-19 to resume exercise. COVID is more than a respiratory disease, with implications for many body systems that are just not fully known yet.

Research already completed suggests a go-slow approach to returning to exercise after a bout of COVID.

Dr. Michael Potter is a sports medicine specialist affiliated with Providence Medford Medical Center; he gives us an overview of cautions on exercise after infection.
