The most prolific of the region's arts organizations has been quiet for some time now. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland had to cut its season short last winter, announced a resumption of plays for September, then had to scratch that as well.
Most of the staff at OSF has been laid off, awaiting word of when live theater might resume. Now the festival is preparing to talk about its plans for the near future.
