A DIFFERENT Vaccine: OHSU Part Of HIV Vax Going To Human Trials

You can't go more than a few minutes online without seeing SOME comment about vaccines. But the energy at the moment is concentrated on the various vaccines for COVID-19, and the current mismatch between supply and demand.

Other vaccines still exist, and some have yet to be fully realized. Those include a vaccine for HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, long explored at Oregon Health & Science University, OHSU.

The experimental HIV vaccine is now being tested in humans for the first time ever. OHSU researcher Klaus Frueh talks to us about the long road to this moment, and what lies ahead.
