A sexual assault three years ago prompted the creation of KAWS, Keeping Ashland Women Safe. The nonprofit has grown since then, offering training for women to be able to live out the name of the organization.
Training has been hindered by the pandemic, but continues nonetheless. A new round starting later this week (February 12-13) goes under the name "Speak True, Stand Firm."
KAWS founder Alaya Ketani and Dr. Sabre Patton-Fee tell us about the training, and the progress of the KAWS mission.
