Many trees burned in last summer's fires. We count acres instead of trees, so the actual number is hard to know.

No problem, says the organization Oregon Parks Forever, which gives financial support for facilities and programs at Oregon State Parks, as well as federal, local, and tribal parks across Oregon. OPF started a campaign to plant a million trees, and not just on state park land.

The Wildfire Tree Replanting project plans to plant a tree for every dollar donated. We get details from Craig Leech at Oregon State Parks, Robyn Darbyshire from the U.S. Forest Service, and Robbie LeFebvre of the Oregon Department of Forestry.
