In any year, the numbers of children who go into foster care exceed half a million across the country. Many of them go back to their families, but some can't go back. Ever.
Rather than see them bounce from foster home to foster home, the organization AdoptUSKids advocates for parents to adopt the teens who would otherwise be in foster care until they reach adulthood.
