Greta Thunberg was an unknown girl in Sweden when Kelsey Juliana of Eugene filed her first lawsuit over climate change. Juliana is now in her mid-20s, waiting for courts to decide if she and other young people even have standing to sue state and national governments for failing to take action on climate change.

Judges have appeared reluctant at best to take up the cases. Journalist Lee Van Der Voo takes up the story in the book As the World Burns: The New Generation of Activists and the Landmark Legal Fight Against Climate Change.

We catch up on a long story that is far from over.
