Getting A Grip While Using The Social Media 'Hype Machine'

Fear and anger. These are two of the common feelings expressed frequently on social media. Sure, people post pictures of their kids, their pets, and their food, but the overall tone of social media struggles to stay positive.

Sinan Aral is a social media expert who has invested in the business. He teaches about it at MIT, so he takes a broad view of how we talk to each other in social media-land in his book The Hype Machine: How Social Media Disrupts Our Elections, Our Economy, and Our Health–and How We Must Adapt.

We see if his book offers a firmer road to sanity to and beyond the election, through social media.
