Why 'San Francisco Values' Are Solid American Values

"Gomorrah by the Bay" at least has a biblical overtone, even if it's not the nicest thing to say about San Francisco. It's also far from the worst.

A Fox News commentator called it "Slum by the Bay" last year, and Newt Gingrich used to fire up his political collaborators by referring to "San Francisco values."

Geri Spieler and Rick Kaplowitz refute the idea that the city and its metro area are anti-American or unpatriotic or worse. They lay out the case in the book San Francisco Values: Common Ground for Getting America Back on Track.

The authors join us to put the values of the Bay Area in context, generally and as context for the current election cycle.
