Quieter And Farther Apart: First Friday Arts For August

The First Friday of the month is a time to celebrate the arts. That is, when there can be arts events without the risk of people getting too close together.

COVID-19 laid waste to big gatherings, thereby snuffing out many arts events. Our First Friday Arts segment soldiers on, helping artists publicize the limited events going on, just by picking up a phone and calling 800-838-3760.

Most Friday Friday Arts Walks--Ashland and Grants Pass, for example--have been cancelled, but there are still enough events happening in small groups and online to warrant continuing our perusal.

We also hear from the Oregon Fringe Festival, which is putting periodic "Fringettes" online.
