It's a little hard to believe it's Memorial Day already; the world seems like it went into suspended animation in March, and yet the calendar races ahead. The JX observes the holiday by keeping the crew at home and bringing in a couple of interviews from previous programs.

At 9:00, two novelists from the Boston area share their works of fiction, and their unusual connection: Rachel Kadish, who wrote The Weight of Ink, is the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors in World War II; Jessica Shattuck, the author of The Women in the Castle, is the granddaughter of members of the Nazi party.
