Maybe it's funny to say "OK boomer," but the departure of baby boomers from the workforce--while celebrated by some younger workers--represents a seismic shift.

Consider farming, where the average age for a farmer is 58. That means retirement looms, and handing the business off... to whom? Not all people who grew up on farms want the job.
