The Success (Or Not) Of 'Distance Learning' In K-12

Schools are empty and quiet, and will stay that way for several more months. The need to keep people apart to slow the spread of COVID-19 shut schools for the remainder of the year in both states.

These days, students stay home and get some education from teachers they can't see in person. Now that schools have put in several weeks of distance learning, we check back in to see how people are faring.

Bret Champion is the Superintendent of Medford Schools; Kelly Raymond holds the same title in the Ashland District. They are joined by Mike Freeman, an administrator with the Shasta County Office of Education.
