Homelessness Falls Nationally But Rises In Oregon, California

Homelessness is shrinking across America, says HUD, the federal department of Housing and Urban Development.  But that's the whole-country picture; two states are singled out as places where homelessness is growing significantly: California and Oregon. 

There are growing efforts to help homeless people, including the Kelly Shelter of Rogue Retreat in Medford and the City of Medford's new Homeless Shelter Team.  We talk about these and other efforts with Chad McComas from Rogue Retreat, Kristina Johnsen from the city, and Jackson County Continuum of CareManager Constance Wilkerson.
