HarperCollins

Imagine the danger in fighting wildland fires.

Now imagine fighting wildland fires AFTER jumping out of an airplane.

Jason Ramos does it for a living, and tells his story in the book Smokejumper.  It's not a job for everyone, but someone has to fight fires when they start in remote areas far from roads.  Smokejumpers do that and live to tell their stories.

Jason Ramos visits the Exchange to tell his.
