Southern California is adjusting to the realities of a year-round fire season.
So far, we do not have to face that reality where we live.
But this fire season, which could be declared at any time (already underway south of the state line) , threatens to be a rough one in Oregonand California.
It comes after several years of low rain and snowfall, and arrives during a drought.
We gather fire officials from both sides of the state line to talk about preparations for fire season 2014.
