Update 1/28/2020 | 9:15 am -- On Thursday our engineer was able to reach our Bear Springs site on Hatchet Ridge by snowmobile and discovered significant damage to the site, including a microwave antenna that became dislodged due to a severe weather event. Our Rhythm and News Service at 89.7 FM is currently operating on a backup transmission system at 20% of its normal strength until repairs to the main system can be completed. Parts are currently being manufactured but work may need to continue throughout the winter and early spring. In addition, our News & Info service on 1330 AM is impaired and we are working to diagnose the problem.
Update 1/24/2020 | 8:30 am-- Our engineer succeeded in restoring News & Information on 1330 AM and Classics & News on 96.9 FM.

Update 1/20/2020 | 9:00 am-- On Monday our engineer was able to reach our site by snowmobile and discovered severe icing on the tower. He brought the site to low power, restoring Rhythm & News on 89.7 FM for some listeners. However, News & Information on 1330 AM and Classics & News on 96.9 FM remain off the air. The site will need to operate at low power until conditions improve.
Update 1/16/2020 | 9:45 am-- Road conditions are too severe for our engineer to visit the site today.
All three services in Redding, California are experiencing issues. Our engineer surveyed a site today to try and locate the issue and will visit another site tomorrow, road and weather conditions permitting.
In the meantime, you can hear all three of our service using the Listen Live feature at the top of this page, or the JPR app.
Thanks for your patience!
