JPR Live Session: Liz Longley (2020)

Ways To Subscribe

Singer/songwriter Liz Longley is following a path that many musical artists have in recent years - a path toward complete artistic independence. But in Longley's case, the path was lined with accelerants - thousands of fans who stepped up to support an online fundraising campaign to regain control of the master recordings of her new album Funeral For My Past.

Longley's Kickstarter campaign crushed its original $45,000 goal in just three and a half hours!  By the end of the campaign, she'd raised over $120,000 - enough to remaster the original recordings, shoot music videos, develop a new line of merchandise, and produce vinyl records.

With the album due out later in 2020, Longley gave us an exclusive sneak peek live in the studio.

JPR Live Sessions are recorded with Audix microphones. Located in Wilsonville, Oregon, Audix designs, engineers, and manufactures high performing, innovative products that contribute to the advancement of the professional audio industry.

As FM Network Program Director and Music Director, Eric oversees many aspects of JPR's broadcast day. He still hosts the occasional Open Air or classical music shift, and is the driving force behind JPR Live Sessions - our popular series of live in-studio music performances and conversations.
