JPR Live Session: Barrie

Ways To Subscribe

Barrie is the musical project of Barrie Lindsay – a songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist currently living in Brooklyn, New York.

In 2019, Barrie (the band) released their album, Happy To Be Here, - a ten-song collection of synth-based indie pop. But soon after the release, Barrie (the woman) and her bandmates decided on differents paths, so in order to hit the road and tour in support of the record, Barrie took to re-creating the tracks in a style that more accurately reflected how they were originally conceived - mostly solo and sparse.

She enlisted the help of two friends -  pianist and vocalist Joanna Schubert, and multi-instrumentalist and singer Julia Easterlin to help realize the songs in our studio.

JPR Live Sessions are recorded with Audix microphones. Located in Wilsonville, Oregon, Audix designs, engineers, and manufactures high performing, innovative products that contribute to the advancement of the professional audio industry.

As FM Network Program Director and Music Director, Eric oversees many aspects of JPR's broadcast day. He still hosts the occasional Open Air or classical music shift, and is the driving force behind JPR Live Sessions - our popular series of live in-studio music performances and conversations.
