Elk Creek, Undammed And Open For Recreation

Little Mountain/Wikimedia

Land that was once meant to be underwater is now available for recreation by us land-based creatures.
Elk Creek Damnorth of Medford was never finished; it was eventually dynamited so Elk Creek, a Rogue River tributary, could flow freely once again.

Now roads, trails and parking lots are open to the public for hiking, swimming and fishing.
The Army Corps of Engineers recently opened the land.
We get specifics on what amenities are available.
