It was a collection of demos Logan Ledger recorded as a favor for a friend that ended up in the hands of T Bone Burnett. The legendary producer was enamored with Ledger's original sound, and offered up his skills along with a crack studio band - the same crew heard on Raising Sand (Robert Plant/Alison Krauss).

Ledger's musical education first started with his grandmother's eclectic assemblage of Elvis, Orbison, and R&B records, but he soon discovered the Smithsonian Folkways label, and the sometimes obscure perfomers that would have otherwise be lost to history.

While Ledger doesn't actually consider himself a 'country singer' per se, his debut album it at times heavily colored by the classic country crooner sound of past decades.

As FM Network Program Director and Music Director, Eric oversees many aspects of JPR's broadcast day. He still hosts the occasional Open Air or classical music shift, and is the driving force behind JPR Live Sessions - our popular series of live in-studio music performances and conversations.
