Kale HolmesBroadcast Engineer
Kalé Holmes is a born and raised State of Jefferson native, hailing from the tiny town of Seiad Valley on the Klamath River. He joined JPR’s engineering team in 2020, and works to keep JPR’s broadcast network running smoothly.
He began his career in engineering as a recording engineer, working in Hollywood and Florida, before landing in Weed, California, where he helped produce Grammy-nominated and Gold records.
Kalé later transitioned into satellite communications as a training manager, and then into the telecom industry as a field engineer. He’s worked atop mountaintops and airport traffic control towers, from studios and closets, and in attics and basements.
He holds a degree in Philosophy from Oregon State University, and when he’s not working, trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, plays guitar and enjoys outdoor activities such as gardening, hiking, and kayaking with his wife and three children.
