Storytime for Adults: Everyday Things You Can Do to Help Your Child be Ready to Read!
We know that parents and other close adults have a huge impact on a young child’s development. Fortunately, there are simple things caring adults can do every day to encourage brain development, language acquisition, and early literacy skills. Do you have a baby, toddler, or preschooler in your life? This lively, interactive session will spell out the profound benefits of Storytime-style reading, rhyming, singing, and playing with little ones and give you the hands-on experience you need to take Storytime home with you! Don’t worry if you’ve never been to a library Storytime before. No experience is necessary. Participants will receive a take-home bag with some simple Storytime tools to get started at home. Masks and distancing required. Space is limited, so registration is required.
