The Arcata Bay String Quartet from the California north coast will present an evening of masterpieces from the heart of the string quartet tradition in a concert on Friday evening, Jan. 11, at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Redding. The performance includes three jewels of the quartet repertoire, spanning the Classical, Romantic and early Modern periods. On the program are Josef Haydn's quartet Op 76, no.1; Robert Schumann's Quartet in A Minor, and Claude Debussy's quartet in G Minor. Join us for an exceptional evening of gorgeous chamber music. Formed in 2017, the ABSQ comprises players from the music faculty of Humboldt State University and the Arcata-Eureka community. All four are active in top-level performing groups around the area, including the Northstate Symphony.
