Courtney Marie Andrews

Blessed with one of the purest voices in Americana music today, Courtney Marie Andrews continues to impress on her new album Old Flowers. She joined us while on a brief vacation in Cape Cod to share some live versions of her new songs.

Since leaving her Arizona hometown as a teenager, Courtney Marie Andrews has been busy performing and honing her craft - one that has won over critics and fans with her powerful and plaintive singing voice and soul-baring lyrics.

Recently, Andrews's decade-long relationship came to an end. The pain and heartbreak of not only that loss, but in the journey to find her new identity as a single woman has flavored Old Flowers. The songs deal with love on a multitude of ways, like how to care for a person you know you can't be with.

The scaled back production of just Andrews, Matthew Davidson and James Krivchenia really allow Andrews's voice to shine through at every moment.

As FM Network Program Director and Music Director, Eric oversees many aspects of JPR's broadcast day. He still hosts the occasional Open Air or classical music shift, and is the driving force behind JPR Live Sessions - our popular series of live in-studio music performances and conversations.
