It will be up to the Legislature to decide, and the task force suggested some ideas Thursday in recommendations to the commission.

The Oregonian reports one idea would be to expand sales to big grocery stores.

The commission is being forced to consider changes because of a potential ballot measure which would privatize the liquor business. Washington State did so last year. In Oregon, liquor stores are private businesses, licensed by the state.

The liquor commission will hold a hearing next Friday on the task force recommendations. State lawmakers could consider changes in the February session.
