How To Exercise "Community Rights" On The Environment

While planning and zoning laws and codes are plentiful, businesses that are less environmentally-friendly can still set up shop, as long as all the permits are in place. 

Communities generally do not have the power to issue a simple "no" to a project.  Or do they? 

The concept of "community rights" is gaining traction within environmental groups. 

And the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund is taking word of community rights on the road to a number of towns.  CELDF Executive Director Thomas Linzey joins us with details.  http://celdf.org/
