Documenting The Best (And Worst) Of Archaeology

David Glass/Wikimedia

Much of our history is underfoot, literally.

Archaeology is all about digging into the ground to find clues to previous inhabitants and previous civilizations.  But not all the people who dig into the earth care much about preserving the past.  The Archaeological Legacy Institute devotes itself to publicizing and limiting abuses.

ALI hosts the annual film festival of The Archaeological Channel each spring in Eugene.  Some of the best works from the film festival will be shownin Ashland this weekend and next.
