BOOST or Bust?
Political leaders talk all the time about the need to create jobs through small businesses. But a recently-opened Oregon program designed to help small businesses hire more workers is not getting much interest so far. The BOOST program (Building Opportunities for Oregon Small Business Today) offers grants and loans to companies for adding workers. Medford's Pallet Wine Company is one of the few to take advantage of the program; we'll talk to Pallet's managing partner, Dan Sullivan, about how BOOST gave his business a shove in the right direction.
