Logging Logjam

Further plans to log BLM land in Oregon will be difficult to draw up, says a federal task force.  Interior Secretary Ken Salazar formed the task force after he withdraw the controversial Western Oregon Plan Review a year ago.  Now the task force says with the overlapping policies and restrictions, plus the sharp disagreements over use of the forest land, coming up with a plan to please all interests will be difficult.  We'll talk to the people at the Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center and the American Forest Resource Council about their views on WOPR and the task force report.

The logjam illustrates perfectly why public law 62-5 needs to be repealed. There is nt representation in proportion to poultation growth. Instead the US is plagued with lawyers and bureaurats who derogates the rule of law to benifit their cash cow timber clients.
